RUSSIA Y19 WORLD CHAMPION AFTER GOLDEN GOAL DRAMA!

Russia became World Champion in Y19 Boys at the tournament in Helsinki January 24-26 after great drama!

Russia took the lead with 2-0 in the first half after Sweden missed a penalty shot. In the second half, Sweden forced to catch up. Reduced to 1-2 in the 10th minute and made the second goal with only 2 minutes remaining. The game ended 2-2! Extension had to decide the match and after 4 minutes into extra time Roman Darkovsky was able to decide the match on a penalty shot and thus Russia was the world champion.

Finland finished third in the tournament after winning the bronze match 1-0 against Norway.

2020 WCS Y19 IN HELSINKI COMING SOON!

The game schedule for World Championship Y19 is now ready. Five national teams will participate; Finland, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Ukraine. The tournament is held in Helsinki, the capital of Finland January 24-26.
