About half of the games have now been played in the Womens World Championship. Sweden has won all three games they have played while Finland and Russia have won two and lost one each, both against Sweden.

Sweden had a tasteful start of the Women's World Championship in Irkutsk. In the premiere, they defeated Finland with 7-1. One of the scorer were one of the debutantes Anna Widing: "It felt good to be able to score a corner" says Anna after the game.

In the second game, Sweden won over Canada with 8-0 and later Russia was defeated with 3-2. Sweden's Camilla Johansson both began and ended the scoring against Canada: "It was a big difference in the Russia match. At times we have good combinations that we can bring with us, but we must be more tight backwards. But it is easy to lose focus in the defense when it gets slower pace" says Camilla.

The time difference of eight hours, and the tight schedule is starting to get effect on the players: "But it has gone well so far and when it's time for playoff, there will not be any problems to feel focused again. Between matches you feel in your body that it is worn, but on the ice you feel fresh" says Camilla.
