After just 49 seconds SAIK scored the first goal by no 24 Micke Nilsson. Johan Löfstedt increased after 9 minutes and three minutes later Christoffer Edlund created a penalty and scored 3-0 himself. Villa then reduced to 3-1 but SAIK continued strong and Daniel Berlin did 4-1 and Christoffer 5-1 before halftime.
Villa made a quick and important goal five minutes into the second half, 5-2. Christoffer scored his third goal in the match when he took SAIK to 6-2. With just over 25 minutes left Villa made a goal from a penalty and when it was ten minutes left of the match Villa did 6-4 and 6-5. The tension was unbearable at the end but no more goals meant that the youngest team in the Swedish league defends the SM-gold and are Swedish champions for another year.
