Invitation to European Rink Bandy Cup
Dear Bandy Friends!
In this difficult Corona-time FIB and FIB President Mr. Skrynnik continue to work on development of Bandy Projects in Europe, creating new ways and projects to support European Bandy and new developing countries/FIB members. After several months without any international tournaments we see strong needs to re-activate our international bandy relationship.
In this respect FIB decided to start with the re-activation of the European Rink Bandy Cup in slightly modified form of Euroleague with 2 tours in different countries in this season and a superfinal of 2 teams who performs best after 2 tours. This project is of course subject to COVID situation, but we see a good chance to start with the organization of the first tour. Your participation, feedback and involvement are highly appreciated!
First tour we plan to organize in Bratislava in late November 2021 (preliminary), weekend 27th-28th or beginning of December (4th-5th). Second tour, according to the preliminary plan, is in the first half of January 2022 (the country should be set asap). Superfinal should be played 2 days before the Group B World Championship.
FIB will also support women bandy, whether your women bandy team is interested to be a part of this bandy event. In this case, please let us know.
FIB will cover the costs for accommodation/food, transfer from airport to hotel (if needed) and all ice-costs. Moreover, there will be special funds allocated to the best 3 teams after all games of two tours are played. For now the budget is following:
1st place: 2.000 EUR
2nd place: 1500 EUR
3d place: 1000 EUR
Please, inform us about your willingness to participate and your other thoughts in the end of September, at least about the participating in the first tour in Slovakia by the end of November, so we can start to organize this event for you!
Please, be also informed that this Eurotour project will be presented to the IOC, so your active participation is crucial for our common goal of promoting bandy within the Olympic Sports.
If you have additional questions, please, do not hesitate contacting Evgeniy Epifanov email@example.com (FIB Development Committee) or myself directly.
Bo Nyman, FIB General Secretary
