Once upon a time…

Ljusdals BK Swedish Champions 1975 – Björn Swartswe to the right!

Björn Swartswe is not like everyone else. We are grateful for that. In the early 70’s he got a crazy idea. Why not play bandy around the clock? It had been tested in other sports. He convinced others. The first round-the-clock tournament came true in 1974. People walked directly from the dance restaurant to the bandy track at 02.00 am. 35 years followed in Ljusdal before a warm autumn forced it away to Sandviken. This year’s tournament is the 11th in the indoor arena in Sandviken. Björn Swartswe celebrated his 80th anniversary this spring!
Thanks Björn, and Congratulations!
