AKILLES CUP-WINNER IN FINLAND!

Veiterä and Akilles played the final of the Finnish Cup on the ice of Kisapuisto. The game was two-fold. Veiterä was the best team in the first half, and Akilles in the second. At the end Ville-Veikko Angeria hit the Cup to Akilles. The weather conditions were tense before the game. The snowfall that lasted for a couple of days ended just as good as the finals. The audience, over 900 spectators, undoubtedly saw the best Finnish teams in the field. Veiterä was a bit of a favorite at the start and showed that the team was a strong Cup Champion early in the game.

The game was very exciting. Veiterä was in the lead, 2-0, in half time but Akilles went up to 2-2 in the end of the game. Everybody waited for extra time. But when it was only 20 seconds left of regular playing time, Ville Veikko Angeria took on a high pass from his own defense and elegantly scored with a nice volleyshot, the victory goal for Akilles.  This is the first time that Akilles became Finnish Cup-Champions.

The goals in the final:
1-0 Tero Liimatainen (20 min)
2-0 Tomi Hauskas (24)
2-1 Rasmus Kettunen (55) Penalty shot
2-2 Rasmus Lindqvist (89) Corner shot
2-3 Ville Veikko Angeria (89:40)
